7 & 8 months

mr. mighty is a grown man. well, practically. i still can't get over the fact that he is closer to one than zero. i am in complete denial that he is eight months old. he has been growing & changing at a ridiculous rate. at 8 months mylo:

-is almost crawling. he can travel large distances (i've seen up to 12 feet) by using a combination of rolling & scooting on his bum. yes, this kid manages to scoot while sitting. and he is surprisingly efficient at it. 

-loves food. real food. not that baby food junk. he refuses to eat anything on a spoon (except ice cream). so i hand feed him table food. his favorites are rice, steel cut oats, avocado, papaya, banana, & sweet potato. 

-thinks t.j. is the funniest thing ever.
-is obsessed with sand. every time we go to the beach his only interest is to get as much sand into his mouth as possible. it is hard to stop such a determined baby.
-is a total mama's boy. he likes to play with daddy but for the most part he just wants to sit on mommy's hip & snuggle. i'm totally ok with this.

-loves being out. it doesn't matter where we go or what we do he just loves being outside.

-is a major flirt.
-has the most delicious thighs.
-is the most stubborn infant i have ever met. for the most part mylo is content & smiley. a total chill baby. but when he really wants something (usually mommy or food) there is no soothing him until he gets it. he will throw his paci, smack your hand, thrash his little legs, & scream bloody murder. it's rather hilarious.

on a side note: this sweet dear has been rocked to sleep by his mommy nearly every night since birth. up until a few weeks ago. now, daddy likes to steal my nighttime snuggle buddy. they've been snuggling to sleep most nights. it's tender.
