easter.

we celebrated a beautiful easter holiday at my parents (the only things that could have made the event better was some Becks). we started the weekend with my oldest niece's baptism. i still can't believe that sweet little gal is 8. then we followed up with our normal & new easter traditions; egg dying, the empty egg story of Christ, planting jelly beans &  magically having them grow into lollipops, football, church, food, easter baskets, & our family favorite, the egg hunt. cooper has been counting down to easter for the past 2 weeks. he wanted to win the egg hunt. and i have never seen my little boy so aggressive. he was throwing elbows, running super fast, & filling his basket to the brim. it was awesome. t.j. wasn't so into the hunt. he collected all the sports ball designed eggs & lost interest. until, grama came & helped him & sparked a whole new interest. the easter bunny filled coop's basket with some of his favorite things, money, legos, & a new slap-watch. t.j. loved finding his most cherrished possessions in his basket, cookies, candy, & balls. but i think the favorite part of the weekend for both of them was all the time they had with their cousins.
