during our month long adventure to the east coast we were very excited to make time to visit our country's capital. i hadn't been to d.c. in a long time & it was a whole new experience to see it as an adult. i was able to appreciate it all so much more. and we made it just in time to visit the new dr. king monument. we played a trivia game as we toured. we would tell cooper about the different sites & later quiz him on it. he loved getting points! and he did remarkably well. he even decided to turn things around and start questioning us. he came up with some rather good questions for a 4 year old. he asked me, "what was the tallest building in new york, the twin towers or the empire state building?" and "is the washington monument in d.c., new jersey, or new york?". he is such a smarty-pants.
